The visuals of the game were designed with a classic 1930’s style cartoon aesthetic that was drawn by hand, then digitized to create animated sprites in-game. The game centers around the titular protagonist, Cuphead, and his brother Mugman as they defeat the odds and pay off the debt they owe to the Devil after betting their souls in his casino. The player with the highest score wins.Cuphead is a platforming run-and-gun game that was developed and published by Studio MDHR for Windows and Xbox One on September 29th, 2017, with ports to other consoles made available in the following years.
